How is Easter Celebrated Around the World?

It’s already April and that means that soon we will be celebrating Easter. This year the Easter will be celebrated on 24th of April so get ready ahead of time. If you aren’t familiar with this holiday we will explain how Americans celebrate it.

The Easter is a holiday that honors the day that Jesus got resurrected. The holyday takes place on Sunday between 22 of March and 25 of April. Before the Easter starts there is a time period of forty days that is called the Lent.
To show their religious devotion people give up something they enjoy during this forty day period, it could include products such as chocolate or caffeine.
In different countries the Easter tends to be more or less spiritual. For example in Russia they bake cakes called Pas-ha and bless them in church, religious people believe that a blessed Pas-ha has healing abilities or will bring good luck. While in America the Easter is centered on a Giant Easter Bunny that lays colorful eggs for children.

In America this holyday has become very popular. Some religious Americans celebrate it for its spiritual meaning, while others don’t care about the actual meaning of the holyday and concentrate on eating chocolate bunnies. Many cities celebrate Easter by conducting parades for everyone to enjoy. Parents will bring their children to these parades and everyone will have a great time
It’s traditional to have a white Lilly decorating a church alter table. This flower is common in home décor sense it blooms just around the time Easter starts. What Easter symbolizes is the start of a new life, so everyone tries to convey this by using themes about new hope, new birth and new beginning. As part of this tradition people wear new clothes on the Easter day.
The Easter helps people have family gatherings and have a great time with their family and friends.
